Best Buy Forces "God Squad" to Remove Logo

God Squad Car
Have confessional, will travel?
Best Buy threatened legal action against a priest over the use of a logo they say is similar to their Geek Squad, called the “God Squad.” Father Luke Strand drives a black VW Bug, similar to the one used by Best Buy. Strand says he has stopped using the logo.

"Rev. Luke Strand, pastor of Holy Family Catholic Church in Fond du Lac, Wis., is no longer using the logo after Best Buy served him a cease-and-desist order, arguing that his religious vehicle is a copyright violation of its famous "Geek Squad" mobile."

Strand said he has driven his God Squad mobile, complete with custom plates that say "GODLVYA" and rosary beads on the rear view mirror as a, "creative way to bring God to the streets."

Best Buy may be making a cardinal sin in pursuing this. But Father Strand is forgiving. A church spokeswoman told FoxNews, "There’s absolutely no animosity." She added that the God Squad "will continue in some form." Sounds like reinCARnation. Sorry.

Mod Squad = Where Best Buy got the Geek Squad Idea From
So, should the Mod Squad go after Best Buy? No doubt that's where Best Buy got the Geek Squad idea from....
